2月の連休を利用して、半年ぶりの山登りしてきました。巴の手術やら悪天候やらで、山はしばらく全然いけてなかった。 姫次  (2018)  一回目  (2018) 二回目  (2019) 三回目  (2022) 四回目  (2023) ねらいは1． 去年西穂高でお世話になった方 にお礼を言うこと　2．愛洲に蛭が岳を登ってもらうこと、でした。犬も人間も、幅広い経験をさせると、良い大人になりますので。 暗いうちから自宅を出発しました。途中現金が財布にないことに気づき、海老名パーキングエリアで現金をおろそうとしたら、なんとATM機が7時以降から営業で、稼働していなかった。次の厚木パーキングエリアでセブン銀行のATMがあり、現金を下ろせました。 大きい有名なパーキングエリアの方が前時代的で役に立たないという、皮肉な現実を知りました。 6時半には 釜立林道駐車場 に着きました。途中工事中標識があり「9時から17時まで通行止め。登山者は入ると17時まで出れなくなります」と言う標識があり、迷いましたが、いざとなったら17時まで車内休憩取ればいいや、という感覚で駐車。私は2番目でした。（5車両くらいしか停められない小さな駐車場です）隣に停めたお兄さんたちとも、「日曜日だから大丈夫ですよねー」なんて会話しました。※結果、17時前でも、難なく出ることができました。※この工事は3月18日までやるそうなので、平日登山者は注意 青根から蛭が岳の最短距離である、八丁坂コースは、そこそこ急登です。あいすは、 まっすぐ登ってくれる巴 と違い、野生動物の匂いを察知して大興奮し、ぐるぐる私の周りをまわります。それやられると、ザイル素材のリードはくるくるして、ループの塊を作ってしまいます。新しいタイプの道（階段→坂道とか）に切り替わるとビビり私の足にまとわりつくから危ない。 仕方がないので、私のポールを片手だけにして、もう一つの手でリードを牽制することにしました。 姫次 景色の良い所であんぱんをいただく 姫次を過ぎたあたりから、比較的まっすぐ歩いてもらえました。私も姫次で軽アイゼンを装着しました。 山頂直前の階段前で景色を楽しむ 11時半に山頂に着き、山荘にトイレを借りに行きます。カウンターにご挨拶に向かうと、ラッキーなことに西穂で会った方がいらした...

Summary. Nice pace climbing up, though failed for my ill-planned route coming back. I arrived at Shibusawa sta. 6:45 am, and the line of the people who were waiting for the first bus to Ookura stop, the entrance to the hiking route, was quite long already. At the Ookura stop, there was a Caucasian guy who seemed to be inquisitively looking at hiking registration post and its card ... written in Japanese only.  So I helped him to submit hiking registration. The city of Hadano should also place a multilingual hiker registration form. The town around Ookura bus stop The route I took was starting from the  prefectural forest park . The route is well managed and paved alongside the river. Most of the people I rode with bus apparently used another major path to To no dake. So the path was quiet. Other than the odd entrance to open the netted door for deer to get in, the route reminded me of walking down Yarisawa last year. The path to climb up to Nabewari mountain...

I used red-eye bus from Shinjuku station  in the previous day. (Unrelated to the subject, just like other grand central bus terminals in any big cities at night, I gotta say, ladies bathroom was filled with sex workers changing clothes and making up, taking facet area,  keeping everyone from even washing hands at Shinjuku Bus-ta) At 5:20, I reached Kamikochi and started walking up. Before reaching to Yoko-o, it started raining. I covered up myself with rain-gear at the bathroom in Yoko-o, then started walking again. The course I took (Yarisawa course) have perfectly placed bathrooms, which I have not seen in any other mountain area where everyone have to compromise their civility for nature calls. The rain was light at that point. However, it started harder after passing Yarisawa hut, I didn't want to go back to Yarisawa hut, so I kept walking up.  I left my car at 5am, in a parking lot around Okutama station for 1200 yen, the same place as the other time , right next to Okutama city office. Passing Atago shrine hill and great staircase, path to Nokogiri mountain was rocky and a bit scary. Tengu statue was set between Nokogiri mountain and Atago hill  The view from Mt Otadake was not perfect as promised, but very likely it would have been better 2 hours later than I visited.  There were many warning regarding day lights and bear apparences. I always appalled by those conservative mountain administration putting signs like these. These are parfect example of absense of audiences' point of view. Prepare lights, prepare bells for danger of whatever! Ok, then what do you expect readers to do here? The audience are in the middle of mountain. If you set this kind of notice, either set it at the station with storefront, or set here with vending machine!  The famous Tsuzura rock were ...
